Attending the Center provides stimulation and activity in a social environment for the person, while providing a break and support for the caregivers. Our mission is to help adults with health issues or disabling conditions to remain in the community and function at their fullest potential. This is accomplished through:
- Individualized Plans of Care
- Activities that are planned with the person’s interests in mind and will benefit the person by using their skills (conversation, decision making, physical movement, etc.) in an activity that piques their interest.

Specific to Caregivers
Caregivers receive a break from their caregiving duties and can rest knowing the Participant is active and involved in the program while the staff monitors all health needs.
A monthly Caregiver Education and Support Group is held at the Life Center on the Second Wednesday of each month at 12:00p.m.-1:00 p.m. Lunch is provided for the caregivers, and free respite is available during the group with advance notice. The meeting is open to anyone who is caring for an adult.
Caregivers also benefit from being able to get information and referrals from the Center staff, as well as having the staff as a team support in helping both the Participant and the Caregiver to manage the stress and daily challenges that can be part of caring for an adult.
